What does film and poetry have in common? Way more than we think! This writing workshop will ask writers to think about what poetry’s “camerawork” looks like, and to explore how using the camerawork/angles of poetry can push us out of our comfort zones and lead to surprise in our writing. During this workshop, participants will be led through multiple generative rewriting exercises, to examine multiple different versions of a particular moment, scene, or memory, and discover how different angles might reveal details we didn’t even realize were there.
