Women Writing for (a) Change was pleased to welcome poet Yalie Saweda Kamara to our building on Saturday February 3rd! Yalie is the 2022-23 Cincinnati and Mercantile Library Poet Laureate, and read from her newly published book of poetry, Besaydoo. Following a book signing, Yalie led a very engaging workshop to a sold out crowd. Many thanks to Yalie, and to the Harris Family Fund who made this event possible! And big gratitude to all those who came out on a chilly February morning to listen and write together!
