Under the New Moon – Fall 2026

with Mary Ruth Kamp

Next session: September 10th, 2026

$38 More Info

Lean into lunar cycles. Create and practice supportive patterns. Explore the energy of the New Moon—the energy of letting go and beginning again. Invite the darkness of the New Moon to aid and protect you as you go within to listen for what your system wants/needs. The circle is created and held under the new moon, with the support of astrology and tarot as soft structures (... think spider webs, mycelium, fascia.) You can expect time for grounding, listening, creating, writing, and exploring within ourselves, and sharing with one another.

  • Class runs: Virtually each month on the evening of the New Moon
  • Open to: All Genders, 18+

About the Facilitator: Mary Ruth Kamp is a multifaceted organism.  They are an artist, a poet, a marathon runner and one who delivers literary magic around the county in their role as the bookmobile (book dragon) driver for the public library. They facilitate writing circles, open mics, retreats, and wilderness exploration. They are committed to creative expression, playful living and deep connections with all beings, human and more-than-human.

Small Poems, Big Meaning: A Generative Writing Workshop

with Leighann Rechtin

Next session: September 12th, 2026

Poetry doesn't have to be long, complicated, or intimidating. Sometimes a few carefully chosen words can hold an entire story, a moment of wonder, or a truth waiting to be discovered.

In this Saturday afternoon generative workshop, we'll explore the power of writing small. Through guided prompts, accessible poetic forms, and opportunities for sharing, participants will experiment with brief writing that captures moments, images, and insights with clarity and care.Whether you're new to poetry or a seasoned writer, you'll leave with several small pieces and a renewed appreciation for how much meaning can live in just a few lines. No prior poetry experience required.

  • Open to: All Genders, Ages 18+

About the Facilitator: Leighann believes writing is one of the most powerful ways we come home to ourselves. As an educator, facilitator, and lifelong learner, she creates welcoming spaces where curiosity, reflection, and connection can flourish. Whether writing poetry, personal stories, or simply noticing the world with fresh eyes, she hopes participants leave feeling more grounded, inspired, and connected to their own voice.
