Explore the relationship between social justice and speculative genres. Using the examples of authors such as Margaret Atwood, P. Djèlí Clark, Octavia Butler, Stephen Graham Jones, and others, participants will learn how to explore social issues through the lens of Fantasy, Science Fiction, and Horror. You’ll receive prompts and exercises that will allow you to combine the escapism of the speculative with the social justice issues that matter most to you.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Tuition is non-refundable but can be credited towards a future class if the student withdraws no later than 14 days prior to the beginning of class. No refunds for missed classes. All credits must be used within one (1) year of receipt.
