Stories in Short Form - October 4th
Facilitator: Annette Januzzi Wick and Tina Neyer
Time: 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
Open to: All Genders 18+
This class will address shorter forms of story and how to revise your work to achieve that form. Each week, we will read a combination of well-known essayists, narrative non-fiction and short story writers, and discuss how their work is applicable to our own.
We will also look at the sources that make up the story, whether they come from memory, facts or anecdotes, and devise and offer strategies to achieve the desirable result. We will rely heavily on Tell It Slant (Brenda Miller and Suzanne Paola) and balance our talks with discussions on the story the writer wants to tell.
