Time: 1:00 pm ET to 4:00 pm ET

In this workshop, participants will discuss the differences and similarities between fantasy, magical realism, surrealism, and newly coined "curio" fiction. Participants will learn about the themes and makeup of each subgenre and discuss which would best suit their own work.
Writing prompts will be offered for each genre for participants to explore. The session will conclude with a readaround (in which it is always honorable to pass).
