The featured focus is writing in community over a period of several weeks. While some writing technique is taught in each class, emphasis is placed on writer's pursuing their own forms of written expression (e.g., poetry, memoir, fiction, non-fiction or journaling). Writers are in charge of their writing. They request from small group members the type of feedback they want, based on their motivation and intentions. The proven process used creates a safe space for individuals to develop their own voice and offers opportunities to have their words heard and honored without judgment.

Audience for this offering:

  • People who want support, inspiration and accountability for pursuing writing for personal or professional growth
  • People who view writing as a transformational process for connecting to and telling the truth of their lives
  • People who are seeking community, connection and meaningful conversation and who see writing as a process that enriches their lives

**Please note that this class will be held via Zoom online conferencing. Your facilitator will provide specific details regarding this online community prior to the class.**

The focus of this class will be learning the Women Writing for (a) Change practices, writing in both large and small circles, and enjoying the safe and supportive environment of writing in community. No class time will be spent on training participants in the use of the Zoom online conferencing platform. We have six (6) FREE Zoom Virtual Learning Sessions in May. If you are unfamiliar with this platform, we highly encourage you to register for one or more of these FREE sessions.

Questions? Unsure if this is the right class for you? A FREE Sampler, designed to introduce new participants to the practices used in WWf(a)C Core Classes, will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd, 6:30-8:00 pm, via Zoom online conferencing. While the Sampler is FREE, registration is required.
