The featured focus is writing in community over a period of several weeks. While some writing technique is taught in each class, emphasis is placed on writer's pursuing their own forms of written expression (e.g., poetry, memoir, fiction, non-fiction or journaling). Writers are in charge of their writing. They request from small group members the type of feedback they want, based on their motivation and intentions. The proven process used creates a safe space for individuals to develop their own voice and offers opportunities to have their words heard and honored without judgment.

COVID-19 Protocols: All attendees must provide proof of vaccination. Please email a photo of your vaccination card to Your vaccination status will be kept confidential on file with the office. Please note that if you have already provided your proof of vaccination in order to attend a previous class or event with Women Writing for (a) Change, you do not need to send it again. In addition, masks will be optional. Note: If new or changing COVID-19 variants develop, this class will convert to Virtual.
