Mary Pierce Brosmer
Mary is a teacher, poet, feminist visionary and social entrepreneur who created Women Writing for (a) Change, which grew from one class of fifteen women into a multi-faceted arts, social-justice, and community-building LLC, with affiliate sites in seven states, as well as a thriving non-profit Foundation.  In the end of 2009, Mary sold the assets of her LLC to the non-profit Foundation and is focusing on her consulting business.

As Founder of WWFC and Feminist Leadership Academy, Mary maintained the vision and mission; taught in the Feminist Leadership Academy; created and implemented programs; developed and trained current artists and faculty; and developed leaders for future staff locally and for sister schools throughout the country.

A creative writing teacher in public education for many years, including a year as Master Teacher at Miami University, Mary was honored in 2006 as Leader in the arts community by Leading Women Inc.. In 2007 she was a finalist in CincyBusiness’ Athena Awards for her leadership as a social entrepreneur. She is a consultant member of Society for Organizational Learning (SoL), and through Consulting for a Change, Mary works with organizations to effect and sustain change.

Mary’s poetry has appeared in numerous anthologies. Her book, Women Writing for (a) Change: A Guide to Creative Transformation was published by Soren Press in 2009.  For more information, visit Mary's Website
